An Intimate Backyard Wedding in Halifax, Nova Scotia

It is no secret the 2020 wedding season has been one unlike any other. I have so much compassion for our couples who’ve navigated each planning decision with such faith and grace.

We kicked off our summer wedding season with Maryn and Rob’s intimate backyard wedding in Halifax. We started our day by delivering Maryn’s personal flowers to The Lord Nelson Hotel downtown where all the girls were getting glammed with Marieke Brouwer and Natphatli Carleton

Some of my wedding photos from each wedding are always the details shots such as the stationery suite designed by Rebecca Frank and Maryn’s dress from Made with Love Bridal captured timelessly by Candace Berry Photography.

After dropping off the personals we continued to the private Ceremony and Reception which was held at Maryn’s family home. We met Hannah from Graceful Weddings & Events who was hard at work laying out all of the beautiful decor which brought the space to life. For the ceremony, we created a lush arch floral installation which became a statement piece for their vows and photos afterwards.

A few other details were the delicate bud vases which complimented the guests cocktail tables. We also added a few florals to the cake which was made with love by a family member.

This intimate wedding was such a beautiful way to start off a very tough season. Yet another reminder that love prevails.
