Spring Mauve Wedding at Lightfoot & Wolfville
We started our 2022 season back in April at Lightfoot and Wolfiville with Sarah and Michaels wedding. We were so excited to kick the season off at one of our favorite venues here in Nova Scotia alongside Steph from Sky’s the Limit and Nicole from Nicole Lapierre Photography.
Sarah’s florals were tones of neutrals, mauve, blush with subtle hints of navy and black. Spring is such a prime time for wedding flowers and we were able to use some of my absolute top picks throughout their design including anemones, hellebores, amnesia roses, peonies and ranunculus to name a few.
The ceremony was held in front of the grande fireplace in the wineries foyer. Our initial plan was to adorn the top of the mantle with blooms however due to wind we switched to another option. We created a grounded ceremony floral nest to ‘hug’ where our couple would stand - I absolutely love this style of design for a ceremony. These types of arrangements can be easily moved/separated to dress your reception space as well.
After the ceremony guests moved downstairs for dinner in the Barrel Cellar. We decked out the harvest tables with a mix of lush compotes and delicate bud vases which looked so beautiful and timeless mixed in with the decor from Glow.
Sarah & Michaels wedding was such a dreamy way to kick off a busy season to follow. We were so thrilled to be a part of their day.
