A Summer Wedding at Anchorage House & Cottages in Hubbards, NS
Erin & Dan’s wedding took place at Anchorage House & Cottages in Hubbards, Nova Scotia. In the midst of the pandemic they chose to move forward with plans to host an intimate wedding amongst close friends and family.
The week of the wedding I got a call from Erin’s sister. Living out of the country the current travel restrictions had made it impossible for her to attend her sister’s wedding. So she decided she wanted to help make Erin and Dan’s wedding as flower-filled as possible. We dreamed up an arch installation, added on lush compote style arrangements to adorn the length of the family style dinner tables and a few other items to finish the space.
When we arrived to set up the venue was bustling. That felt so nice after the summer we had. Erin and Dan were working in the kitchen preparing meals and food for their guests. Family members were adding finishing touches to the reception space.
Erin & Dan’s ceremony took place outside on the lawn with a view of the water across the road. We created a free-standing ceremony installation to frame where they’d say “I Do” which was later moved into the main house for the reception space behind the head table.
I am so grateful for all the beautiful, loved filled celebrations we were able to be a part of in 2020. Please check out all the wonderful vendors involved in their wedding following the photographs in this post.
